Our EU and Competition law team specializes in EU and Belgian competition law as well as other aspects of EU law, such as internal market laws and EU constitutional rights. We represent our clients before both the EU and Belgian competition authorities and support them in proceedings before the Court of Justice of the European Union and the Belgian courts.

Our expertise comprises all areas of competition law, including the aspects of horizontal and vertical agreements that relate to competition law, cartel agreements, abuse of a dominant position and merger control. We also advise a number of Belgian and EU industry federations on issues pertaining to competition law.

Our lawyers work in the field of state aid law and have extensive experience in cases concerning fiscal state aid, and we advise public agencies, companies receiving aid and companies that wish to dispute specific aid mechanisms. The EU law and competition law team has extensive knowledge when it comes to internal market laws and market freedoms, such as the free movement of people, goods, services and capital.

We are also very well-versed in EU laws on social security, privacy law, consumer legislation and telecommunications, healthcare and media, with specific experience in the following industries: IT, internet, telecommunications, games of chance, (video) games, sport, media and television, public and private transport, energy, pharmaceuticals, healthcare services, consumer goods, electronics and entertainment.
