To support our continued growth and ambitions, we are looking for an Associate to strengthen our Corporate M&A team.

Your role

As an Associate, you will take on challenging and varied work for large and mid-sized Belgian and international companies. You will join a team of around 15 Corporate M&A specialists and work directly with clients. 

Astrea’s Corporate M&A team advises on:

• Mergers and acquisition
• Venture capital and private equity transactions
• Complex corporate law questions
• Corporate restructurings
• Corporate litigation 

Your responsibilities include: 

• Providing high‑quality advice and legal support across the full range of corporate law matters.
• Preparing, reviewing, and refining legal documents, including contracts relating to M&A, PE and other corporate transactions.
• Actively participating in negotiations, helping to facilitate deals and resolve legal issues as they arise.
• Being in close contact with clients, understanding their needs, and developing effective legal strategies.
• Representing Astrea at events, contributing to publications, and supporting external client seminars.
• Keeping your expertise up to date through active participation in practice groups, training and seminars.

Who are we looking for?

You have:

• A Belgian Master of Laws, ideally with a focus on corporate law.
• At least 4 years of solid experience in Corporate M&A transactions.
• Fluency in Dutch and English, with a basic command of French.
• A client-oriented mindset, strong analytical skills and the ability to deliver practical solutions.
• A team player attitude combined with the ability to work independently, strong communication skills and an entrepreneurial spirit.
