Barbara Terriere is a partner at Astrea. She is an expert in distribution and competition law and has specific experience in the automotive and fashion industries.
Over the past 25 years, Barbara has acquired specific knowledge and expertise in distribution law (exclusive distribution, commercial agency, franchising) and competition law.
She assists her clients in all legal aspects related to the organization of their distribution networks (choice of network type, drafting of contracts, pre-contractual documents, bonus programs, termination of network members, etc.).
In addition, Barbara specializes in commercial practices, intellectual property law, e-commerce, group purchasing, consumer law, product liability, data protection, ESG, and ICT law.
She assists her clients in reorganizations and the implementation of new systems. She also defends their interests before courts and arbitration tribunals, as well as in the context of legal expert opinions or investigations conducted by the Belgian Competition Authority.
Barbara has written several articles on distribution law and regularly speaks at seminars and conferences. She has been designated “Country Expert Distribution Law” for Belgium by the International Distribution Institute (IDI).
Barbara has been a member of the Antwerp Bar since 2000. She is fluent in Dutch, English, and French and has a basic knowledge of Spanish and German.
